Working One on One With Students

This week I talked for the final time one on one with my student about our I Am project. She has taken a strong interest in the project. A few days ago, she asked if I would share the project with her so she could work on it during her free time at home. She added a few slides to our Google Presentation and we discussed what she added during our last meeting. She talked about her future goals and how she wanted to move to Florida and become a nurse. I then helped her find pictures that we could add to our project. One of her favorite parts of the project was showing me different pictures and looking through them together. I think allowing her work on the project on her own time was very beneficial because she was able to include information that she would have been hesitant to add directly in front of me. I have realized that there is a lot of give and take when it comes to this project and working with students in general.
